Clouds and Silver linings

Every cloud has a silver lining and same is the case with the clouds of my life. There are times where I almost gave up and was despaired that nothing really works out in my way but little did I realise that God has been building a beautifully civilised road for me instead of crooked road I was dreaming of constructing. Despite of errors which I have committed right from  not participating in school captaincy elections to not aiming high enough in gate exam and neglecting a friend in need, life proved to be more beautiful with errors.

Little did I realise that all the errors made my life more beautiful rather than more perfect. I became more practical and may be growing stronger . This morning while I was looking at the clouds in the sky  was I able to connect the dots of my life. Every cloud has a silver lining and this silver lining indicate that there is sunshine right behind the cloud of problems.
Just believe in yourself and move ahead and definitely you will enjoy the sunshine sooner or later!.

My dream Job

It’s 11.40pm on December 31st,2018.

While the whole world is excited to celebrate the New Year, I kept my eyes glued to my HP laptop screen as only 20  minutes were left to apply for my dream job. A job upon which I had no opinion till today evening turned out to be my dream job. I cursed myself for realizing it so late. It all changed because of the man who sat beside me while I was returning to my hometown this evening. This man’s eyes were filled confidence and he carried a bag on which it was embossed THE INDIAN ARMY. Coming from a conservative family, my parents always encouraged me to apply for safe earning jobs like banks and railways and suggested me to avoid the police and the army. I always wanted to ask someone why people still go crazy about Army and Police jobs when they can get safe bank jobs and lead a peacefully life. Unable to resist myself I asked this young soldier what was running in my mind. He looked as if it was the dumbest question to ask and answered, ”It is right that it takes many things when we are in Army - we can’t spend time with family, friends and most importantly kids. We won’t even know whether we will be alive tomorrow or not!. But the Army gives many more things which soothen the soldiers. We feel happy that the whole country is sleeping peacefully at night because we are wide awake protecting the country at the border. Each day is a new life for us and battles are like celebrations. Moreover, when a soldier dies his story will not leave the world with his body but will remain in the country’s history. What more does a person need?”. The beep sound interrupted my thoughts and a dialogue box popped up on the screen “Application successfully submitted” and a smile flashed across my face.
